La Victoria is Cadiz's city beach, ranked Europe's best urban beach by National Geographic magazine. Almost 3 km of sand with promenade, more than 100 chiringuitos in summer and views over the old town of Cadiz.

In July and August the mean wave height is around 0.7 m, a manageable sea, with a small shorebreak that rarely stops anyone swimming. In winter the mean climbs to 1.2 m, with the annual peak in March at 1.6 m. The prevailing summer wind comes from the southwest, and the windiest month is March, when daily maximum gusts average 22 km/h.
