The Es Colomer viewpoint, on the Formentor peninsula, looks out over the cliffs at the northern tip of Mallorca. With the tramuntana blowing, the spectacle is the sea breaking against the wall; in calm weather, it is the blue of the water over pale bottoms. It is also one of the first points on the island where a depression arriving from the north makes itself felt.
