Climate in Cadiz
Cadiz enjoys an extraordinarily mild subtropical Mediterranean climate thanks to its peninsular position surrounded by the Atlantic. Annual mean temperatures hover around 19 degrees Celsius with lows rarely below 9.
Summers are warm but breezy, with average highs of 28 degrees and gentle tropical nights. Winters are the mildest in the Iberian peninsula.
Annual rainfall is around 580 mm, concentrated in autumn and winter. The easterly levante is the signature local wind: it blows strongly from the Strait, stirs the sea and lowers humidity. The westerly poniente brings cooler air and Atlantic swell.
Best time to visit is essentially year-round, but Carnival (February) and spring stand out. Use the hourly forecast, levante wind data and sea temperature before planning La Caleta, the old town or a day at Victoria beach.
