Climate in Marbella
Marbella enjoys one of the mildest climates in Europe, sheltered by Sierra Blanca and facing south to the Mediterranean. Annual mean temperature is around 19 degrees Celsius, with more than 320 sunny days a year.
Summers are hot but breezy, with average highs of 30 degrees, and winters are extraordinarily mild, with lows rarely below 8 degrees. The sea stays pleasant even in May and November.
Annual rainfall is around 600 mm, concentrated in autumn and winter. Atlantic depressions crossing the Strait can deliver heavy rain, while the terral wind drives extreme summer heat.
Best time to visit is spring and autumn, avoiding the August crowds. Use the hourly forecast, UV index and sea temperature before planning Puerto Banus, the old town or a day at La Cañada.
