Climate in Mostoles
Mostoles, in the south-west of metropolitan Madrid, shares the capitals continental-influenced Mediterranean climate: hot, dry summers with regular highs above 34 degrees Celsius and cold winters with frequent overnight frost from December to February.
Annual rainfall is around 430 mm, mainly in spring and autumn. Sierra-fed afternoon storms can hit southern Madrid with very localised intensity.
Madrids urban heat island also reaches Mostoles, especially on August tropical nights. Snow is rare, although storms like Filomena in January 2021 brought historic depths.
Best time to visit is spring and autumn. Use the hourly forecast, heat or cold alerts and storm probability before planning the Auditorio, the Bosquesur park or a day in the nearby sierra.
