Climate in Terrassa
Terrassa, in the Valles Occidental, has a pre-coastal Mediterranean climate with a more continental flavour than the Barcelona coast. Summer highs hover around 30 degrees Celsius and winter lows can drop to 2 degrees with morning frost.
Annual rainfall is around 620 mm, mainly in spring and autumn. Late-summer thunderstorms fed by the Mediterranean drop intense rain and sometimes hail in minutes.
The city sits near Sant Llorenc del Munt and the Obac range, favouring summer afternoon storms. The south-westerly garbi wind brings coastal humidity and cloud.
Best time to visit is spring and autumn. Use the hourly forecast, storm probability and wind before planning the modernist masies, Parc de Sant Jordi or a trip to the natural park.
